About

The Society of Industrial Relations and Entrepreneurship Development at the University of Peradeniya was established in 2019 with the primary focus of introducing the industrial culture to undergraduates of the Faculty of Science, and inculcating entrepreneurship skills and attitudes among them. It is our vision to open up new opportunities for undergraduates with the guidance of the Science Industry Interaction Cell (SIIC), Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya. We aim to produce more and more entrepreneurs from the Faculty of Science, who will thus generate many employment opportunities using their knowledge and experience. Furthermore, society is expected to give its members better exposure to the industrial environment with the objective of developing the skills and attitudes of undergraduates to match the current industrial requirements.

Who we are

As the Science undergraduates of the University of Peradeniya, the 'Society of Industrial Relations and Entrepreneurship Development' can be introduced as a society which was founded to reduce the distance between the industrial environment & university. It is our vision to open up new paths for undergraduates with the guidance of the Science Industry Interaction Cell (SIIC), faculty of science.

As our aims, graduates from the Faculty of Science at the Peradeniya University will be built up as an entrepreneur creates thousands of employments using his knowledge. It also includes working with the environment to adapt to the needs of the modern job sector. We are also committed to support their small projects, researches etc. during their basic period of study.
